The Elements of Harmony are an elite task force chosen and overseen by Princess Celestia. Their first mission was overseeing Nightmare Moon's return.
Name - Twilight Sparkle, Element of Magic

Age - mid 20sTwilight would have spent her whole life in a library if Celestia hadn't had other plans. Between getting to know Princess Luna and the rather...painful process of becoming an artificial alicorn, her faith in her teacher has been weakening in recent years. Despite being an alicorn, the nature of their transformation leaves them without a kingdom to rule. Perhaps this was intentional on Celestia's part - sharing political power never did suit the Sun Princess.
Name - Rainbow Dash, Element of Loyalty

Age - mid 20sAfter losing her leg in a weather accident, Rainbow Dash feared that her long-held dream of joining the Wonderbolts would have to be scrapped. Celestia had other plans. Providing him with the most advanced prosthetic technology Equestria had to offer, Celestia secured Dash's place as the Element of Loyalty, a position that allows him greater stardom than being a mere Wonderbolt would have. For what it's worth, the pegasus thinks it looks "cool as fuck." One has to wonder if their loyalty is towards Celestia or the leg she so graciously provided.(The answer, of course, may prove to be neither.)

Age - mid 20sThe youngest of the Elements, Pinkie may be the most beloved among the Equestrian populous. Who doesn't love to laugh, after all? As much as Pinkie loves keeping Equestria safe, her true passion still lies in fun and parties. She's the most likely Element to be seen unaccompanied in public - often frequenting underground comedy shows and other smaller events. Most of the money Celestia throws at her goes to supporting the arts - a noble cause, in my humble opinion. Celestia doesn't quite know what to make of the pink pony - Laughter seems to know more than it lets on.

Age - mid 20sFluttershy never wanted to become an Element, but Celestia didn't want to leave someone so close to Dash unchecked. That's not to say the girl isn't worthy of her title - if anything it's a marvelous coincidence that two of the Elements happened to be so close prior to Celestia's intervention. Fluttershy is kind, yes. She is also a coward. Left to her own devices, she would spend her life hidden away in her cottage at the edge of Ponyville.

Age - mid 20sAJ is a hardworking farmpony through and through. Her earth pony strength is only made stronger by her power as an Element. Rumor has it, Celestia almost chose her older sibling, Big Macintosh, as Honesty, but Granny Smith convinced her Applejack was the better choice. She was right, of course. Maccy, while strong, would never be up to the mental strain being an Element requires. Applejack is the Element who most often butts heads with Celestia. Surely, frequent clashes with the Element of Honesty say nothing about the Princess's character.

Age - mid 20sRarity's prim and proper exterior hides a fiercely determined spirit. She's clever - the most likely to best an opponent with words rather than violence. That's not to say she can't fight, of course. Her magic may not be as strong as Twilight's, but it is still Element-enhanced unicorn magic. She's often underestimated by her enemies - a fact that she takes full advantage of. She somehow manages to run a small fashion empire while staying on top of her Element duties - a fact that routinely impresses Applejack, who struggles to split her time between her farm and Element work.
The Princesses are the current rulers of Equestria. They act as avatars for greater powers.

Age - ancientAh, the ruler of Equestria, the Vessel of the Sun, the leader of the Solar Church. Some would call her benevolent. One has to wonder what those closest to her think. In any case, she is certainly powerful, and I, for one, would hate to be the target of her wrath. The sun warms, but it also burns.
Name - Princess Luna

Age - ancientDear Luna, the once-banished Scion of the Moon. She doesn't speak much these days. Frankly, I don't blame her - living close to the person who exiled you for a thousand years is bound to render you less eager to speak up. On the bright side, she may be able to open up some to her sister's student, Twilight. Perhaps they have something in common.

Age - early 30sCadance is the current ruler of the Crystal Empire, and the Avatar of the Crystal Heart. Born into nobility and desperate to prove herself, she eagerly accepted Celestia's offer to join the Elements on their mission to quell King Sombra's attempted resurrection. I wonder if the great Sun Princess really expected Cadance to gain so much power on that expedition. She certainly acts like she did.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders are a group of fillies who bonded over their initial inability to obtain their cutie marks. Celestia is keeping an eye on them as potential successors to the Elements, should anything happen to them. This is partially due to their already close proximity to the six ponies.

Age - 13Apple Bloom may be younger than Applejack, but she is no less hardworking. Between helping out around the farm, mentoring younger ponies, and her budding romantic relationship with her best friends, Scoots and Sweetie, it's rare to find her resting. She hopes to grow as big as her sisters, someday, although her youth doesn't shield her from the plans of those who control the cosmos.

Age - 13Sweetie Belle first realized she was trans when her older sister had her try on a dress she was designing. Needless to say, Rarity was ecstatic. Now Sweetie loves serving as a model for her big sister, and her ongoing vocal training has allowed her to fully explore her love of music. The art of audiomancy has long been forgotten in Equestria, but if anyone were to rediscover it, I suppose it would be Sweetie Belle.

Age - 13Once it became clear that Scootaloo's wings weren't growing with the rest of him, he set aside his dream of becoming a Wonderbolt for the more attainable goal of professional stuntpony. They look up to Rainbow Dash, who frequently oversees its stunt training to ensure the enthusiastic foal doesn't get too banged up. The Element of Loyalty's own disability makes them especially eager to ensure Scootaloo succeeds. Scootaloo is always ready to stand up for their friends, even if it means getting hurt themself.

Age - 14After her visit to Ponyville, Babs turned over a new leaf back in Manehattan. She still keeps in touch with her cousin and the other Crusaders, although she doesn't get to see them in person as much as she'd like. Babs tends to keep to themself if they can help it, but they also know that it's important to help other ponies who were in similar situations to them. They use their talent to give free haircuts to the underprivileged foals they mentor. They enjoy visiting Variety's thrift store from time to time, and the older pony is always happy to lend them an ear when they need it.

Other Canterlot elites see him as a rural aberration that needs to be scrubbed away.We'll see how far his optimism (and his wife) carries him.

Lesbians have to stick together, after all.Oh, the mistake? Well, let's just say she would very much like it if Fire Ghost would leave her alone.

He's currently dating Kit, who was the one who encouraged him to get on stage more during a low point in his life.He fears he's incapable of remaining stable without help. I wonder if he's right?

Age - late 60sFrigore is a retired ice sculptor with no living family and a rancid personality. Needless to say, he was the perfect friend for Classify when he decided to settle down in Canterlot. The only people the two of them are nice to is each other, and even that kindness is ridden with playful jabs. Frigore at least has the tact to avoid Class's soft spots, and often drags them out of bars when the memories become too much. Okay, maybe he isn't that bad.The pipe is mostly for show.

Age - late 20sGiggle is a traveling comedian. She gained popularity when she opened for one of the Element of Laughter's Gala performances. She and Pinkie still keep in touch via mail. Giggle keeps in touch with a lot of people via mail. She has the uncanny ability to befriend anyone, and I mean anyone, she meets.Unfortunately, it goes both ways - sometimes Giggle is unable (unwilling?) to see ill intentions until the consequences of such ignorance arise.

Age - late 20sGraylee is, to put it bluntly, a witch. Her profession as a mortician leaves a bit of leeway when it comes to the judgement of others for her...odd habits. Her husband's likability among the nobility convinces anyone else to look the other way. Gray is soft-spoken, but firm in her convictions. She loves Astral, and makes an effort to maintain her friendship with Shuffle, even after the revelation of her best friend's lifelong crush.It helps that Gray has been teaching the pegasus illegal magics in her spare time. Partners in crime are still partners, after all.

If anyone had a reason to feel lonely, it would be Lycan.

He's charming and levelheaded, despite everything.His unwavering loyalty to the Sun isn't really his fault, but it might still turn out to be his undoing. All stars burn out eventually, after all.

Coffee has been trying to help them out lately, with mixed results.Perhaps she should try listening to the spiders instead.

Variety loves it's wife very much, although it does worry about them getting out of the house more often. At the very least, she's grateful for Thrush's help when it comes to dealing with the occasional spider in the store. Dust gathers over time.Variety's shop has a tendency to bring in the oddest of antiques. People aren't always aware of the value of the things they donate.

Age - very very oldFire is one of the elemental Umbrians that was locked away behind powerful Equestrian artifacts by Princess Celestia when she came to power. Somehow, that artifact found it's way to the basement of an abandoned building Coffee was exploring when she was a filly. Fire Ghost now follows her around, often invisible to those around her.Umbrians who haven't fully integrated are quite conspicuous, and it wouldn't do to face Celestia again without a proper plan, after all.

Age - at least a centuryPaint is Phantom's older sibling. When they decided to integrate into an Equestrian form in order to aid King Sombra, Paint was politely asked to keep an eye on them. She said yes, of course. The other option was allowing Phantom to be killed outright, and her life wouldn't be very much fun without them around. Paint's ability to disguise themself is better than most Umbrians', but they still lack the ability to change their distinctively Umbrain eyes without fully integrating, like Phantom did.Not that Phantom's alicorn form blends in very well either, but Sombra doesn't need to be fooled.

Age - younger than Paintburst, but not by muchPhantom integrated into an Equestrian form in order to rehabilitate Sombra after his humiliating defeat at the hooves of the Elements. It's a bit of a "love at first sight" situation, but Phantom always was impulsive, so I shouldn't be surprised. At least it has Paintburst to watch over it.The original plan was to conquer Equestria, as Sombra initially desired, but things change. Phantom is lucky they're so charming.
